To form a academic community of disciples responding to the call of Jesus Christ.

At Father McGivney Catholic High School, we believe in the McGivney Family.  From students, parents, siblings, grandparents, faculty and staff, everyone is included in events  We want to include everyone in the McGivney Family.

To prepare students to serve the Culture of Life through a total gift of self.

All students are required to perform service hours.  These service hours are to follow the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy and follow the school’s mission of “Serving the Culture of Life”, should promote human dignity and respect for life.  Each quarter, the entire school serves the needs of our surrounding community with an all-school service day.

To engage students in the mission, sacramental life, and magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church.

Along with daily theological courses and the Catholic faith scattered within all of our classes, the students are encouraged to participate in weekly masses by planning, music, lectoring, or serving.  Each year as a class, the students participate in a faith-filled retreat, further developing their closeness to God and their Catholic faith.

To develop faithful citizens to lead an America that values the dignity and worth of every human person.

At McGivney, our students have the opportunity to participate in the March for Life in Washington, D.C., write to their senators regarding matters that support the dignity of human life, and are receiving the seeds to become faithful, thoughtful adults.

It is important to Father McGivney Catholic High School that we prepare our students for the future…and the future is technology.  Each classroom in our new, high-tech facility is equipped with a large flat-screen television, state-of-the-art sound systems, the ability for teachers to project their computer onto the televisions, and wireless technology throughout the building.

Daily Integration

Father McGivney Catholic High School is a laptop school; each student receives a laptop on the first day.  The laptop is theirs to keep at the end of their four years.  E-textbooks are designed to be a more interactive option to the standard textbook, providing a greater resource for the students to learn, offering different learning styles right at the student’s fingertips.  The only physical book our students carry is their Bible.  As an enhancement to e-books, McGivney teachers use Moodle in their classrooms for instruction, assignments, quizzes and tests.  Our newsletters and updates are distributed through email.

Choral and Band Ensembles

Mrs. Ann Richard teaches the students choral and band.  The music students practice and perform their liturgical music throughout the all-school masses.  Twice a year, the students put on a concert for their families and friends.

Mrs. Mary Campbell is our art teacher.  The students learn art history, techniques and create many projects throughout the school year.  McGivney has a new state-of-the-art art classroom with a kiln room and plenty of light and storage for multiple art disciplines.
